Boise, Sushi, First Blood, Fran
Yesterday I went to Boise to spend some time with my love Audra. We Went to sushi at a place in Eagle, just outside of Boise called Sakana, it is one of our favorite sushi places, they have great green tea, really good and fast service, and the sushi is ridiculous. Especially the special rolls, they are also huge, normally we can get 3 rolls and eat it all, but we got 3 there and head plenty of left overs. Sushi for me almost counts in my diet but I just barely have to count it as a cheat meal. If I haven't mentioned before, I try to keep on my diet aside from 2 or 3 meals a week, and sushi counts as a cheat meal. I know it is just fish and rice so it is healthy, but some of it is fried and some of them have lots of sauce that is very sugary and sweet and what not, plus I usually eat so much sushi that it can't not count as a cheat meal.
Then we watched First Blood, the Rambo movie with Sylvester Stalone, obviously a very good movie.
This morning we went for a short run. then I came back to Ontario after we hung out and listened to Led Zeppelin.
Today's workout was mean. It was one from crossfitinvictus.com/blog
It was
4 sets
Shoulder press x 5 (135,135,135,145x4)
90 seconds
Toes to bar x10
90 seconds
Then rest a few minutes and do "Fran"
Which is
21-15-9 of
Thruster (95#)
Pullups(I think supposed to be kipping, but I just do regular pullups, so my times are slower than most)
I got a time of 4:32, which is pretty fast, definitely my fastest time, if I was doing kipping I feel like my time could've competed with top times since I was able to go through all three sets of thrusters with no breaks. I pushed really hard on Fran. Like really hard. Afterwards I just had to sit and not do anything for over 5 minutes, I was getting a little nautious and light headed and loopy, also my biceps hurt, they felt pumped, like when you really burn your biceps with light weights and you feel the "pump", but this was even worse, like a painful pump, it was weird. So i just felt dead for well over 5 minutes. It was good though, I really haven't pushed myself that hard in a long time, like really pushed myself near my limit.
Also, on a side note, I am heading to La Grande, Oregon soon to look at houses and apply so that I can find a place before work starts on may 7th.
