exercising-love it.

first of all, a warning, nutrition and exercising are my favorite things to talk about, i am surprised that i didn't go off much with nutrition, but i almost guarantee that i will when i get going on exercising.
the first thing i wanna say is how they say that just 30 minutes a day of walking is enough to be healthy, that is probably true, but that has to be for people who are already in decent shape and are already healthy, because if you are overweight then that will not do a whole lot. it is a start but will not do much. and it also depends on how healthy you consider healthy.
one thing i notice about people is that they think they are too busy to exercise. which is ridiculous, the only way i would buy that is if you are a student with a job and a kid. then i might understand. but if people really look at what exactly they do each day they will realize just how much time they spend doing something when they could be exercising, like i ask a friend their schedule for they day "oh, i am so busy, i have class from 840 to 1130 then class from 115 to 230. then work at 4 till 6, then bible study from 730 to 830." (true example) yeah that is pretty busy, but, there is time before classes, betweeen classes, between work and class, between work and bible study and after it all. maybe not a ton of time but enough to do something. I mean if you just take a half hour to run you can get in a couple miles, i can do 5, most people who don't run cant do that, but they can do something.
I know i seem kinda accusing and not accepting of excuses, but that is because people always say how lucky i am to be in good shape and have time to work out. I tell them you gotta make time and use your time wisely, you gotta have a plan. then they would say something about how we aren't all naturally ripped like you jim, that really makes me mad when people do that, they have no idea how much time, discipline, pain, motivation, hard work, and many other things it takes to get into good shape, i have worked really really hard to be in the shape i am in. so that really bugs me.
another problem with people who say they are busy is sleep, some people sleep way too much, you really only need about 7 or 8 hours of sleep, and naps over half an hour in the day are not necessary at all. and people say oh my body needs more sleep than most, i think that is ridiculous, the human body is a miracle. It is so adaptive, you can train it to be able to do almost anything. I know, i used to hate fruits and vegies, running, almost all working out, and i used to sleep too much, then i started eating healthy things i didn't like, now i love them. i started running, now i love it. working out is now one of my favorite parts of my day. and now i can wake up after only 6 or 7 hours of sleep and jump out of bed ready to start the day. so believe me you can change how your body works.
some people also say that they don't know how to work out or have anyone who is at their level to workout with, but most people have a friend or friend of a friend who likes working out. and i don't know about everyone, but i love helping people start their diets and workouts, i love giving advice and seeing people trying to change their body for good. also, most people who workout don't mind at all bringing a friend and showing them how to lift or workout, i don't mind changing the weights on the lifts or changing my pace, or doing a little healthy cooking and showing a friend how to be healthy.
i know it seems like i am just trying to show off and say how awesome i am. but i just wanted to say that stuff, because like i said people always assume i am just lucky with my genes and it is really annoying and i don't want to go off on people about how much harder i work than they do, so i guess that is what i am doing now. haha.
