Man I feel dead 4/12/12

Today I was thinking of taking a day off, I haven't taken one off since I was in Portland, but I beat Final Fantasy 10 and couldn't decide what game to play next so I got kinda bored and decided to do an Insanity video. If you have never heard of or tried insanity I definitely recommend it. It is a great at home workout dvd set that you don't need any equipment for, and you will be sweating your face off. So since I did the insanity today, I also decided to go to the gym with Jerame. We did the workout from one of my favorite sites.     http://www.crossfitinvictus.com/blog/   it is a crossfit site that mixed heavy type olympic lifts and muscular fitness lifts, then you do a circuit or something more cardio based. So it mixes a few parts of the idea of crossfit.

The workout was
3 Rounds
Alternating Reverse Lunges holding the weight in a Front Rack position, 10 reps on each leg. 95#
2 minute break
Weighted pullups x3 (55#, 60#, 65#)
2 minute break

the next circuit part was
3 RFT (rounds for time)
10x Power Cleans @ 135
10x Burpees
10x Pullups.

I did it in 7.05

The whole workout felt decent, I can really tell that I need a break though, the first part with the lunges and especially the pullups, I should have been able to stack on more weight in both lifts. During the circuit  I could feel some pain in my anterior deltoid(front shoulder), it started yesterday doing bench, I was hoping it would go away, but it was there today during insanity and again doing the burpees. So between the lower amount of weight than I should be moving and the slight strain, I am assuming it is a strain based on where it is located on my shoulder. It feels about where it connects to my biceps. Also, I don't think it is a sprain cause technically a sprain is when there is an injury or small tear in a joint to the ligament which connects bones to other bones. Strains are injuries or small tears to a muscle or tendon, which connects bones to muscle, so yeah, a little human anatomy for ya.
So anyway I am definitely taking tomorrow completely off, not running or lifting or doing insanity,  I Really need a break.
On a side note, my diet has been great since I have been back from portland, I can't remember eating anything outside of my diet, which is tough especially over easter weekend at my future in-laws house. I have been sticking to my usuals, oatmeal (w/ peanut butter, cinnamon, blueberries), eggs and bacon, bananas, oranges, almonds, chicken, tuna, and my protein shake with more pn butter, B Berries, spinach, and ground flax. Also been drinking a ton of water which is a really underrated part of fitness. So yeah been great the last week, just need a day off tomorrow, I'll probably watch First Blood and Back to the Future tomorrow. Maybe I will even do a review on them just for fun and to have more stuff to blog about. that is all.
