Workout and back to the future
Yesterdays workout was
Am run, usual easy pace, somewhere between 1.5 and 2 miles.
PM workout started with power cleans, nothing really tough, mostly just to warm up for front squats, since I don't have a rack I have to clean anything I want to squat, I was wanting to squat 185, which is at the upper range of my comfortable power clean strength, where I am positive I will get it up, but it is still heavy. So I worked power cleans.
Then
4x5 Front Squats @185,
cleaned it each time obviously.
Dead Lift 4x10 @ 185, 205, 225, 235.
Felt good, none were tough until 225, 235 was pretty hard, still felt like I could have done a little more, but still a little afraid of dead lifts from my injury last summer, which seems silly cause I haven't felt anything except a little stiffness in months.
then abs;
4 sets of 10-15 v-ups, followed each set by a dragon flag, which is kinda like a really slow reverse leg lift.
then;
short run, about 1.5 miles, medium run, which to me is keeping my pace up, but not really pushing. easy runs are when i just go and don't think about my pace.
Last;
A runner's yoga session, 25 minutes, a lot of standing poses, some lunges and warriors, and balancing half moon, felt pretty good, need to start doing more yoga in my workouts.
Watched 300 during the lifting parts of my workout, still my favorite man like tough guy movie, sometimes I like to watch movies while I workout.
Later I watched Back to the Future, which is awesome. Christopher Lloyd is hilarious in that movie.
Today is a break day, I hate break days. I feel so lazy during them, I get bored easy, I feel like I think about food more and since I didn't work out it is a little easier to eat unhealthy things on break days. when i workout during the day I almost never eat unhealthy stuff randomly since it would feel like I am wasting the workout with the unhealthy calories. My workouts are hard, it would be ridiculous to waste one. So on break days it is easier for me to screw up my diet. I will probably at least do some yoga or something so that I get something healthy done.
Dangit, there is some really good matches today on NASL.tv which is a online starcraft 2 tournament, I still don't have internet and I am pretty sure most places that have wi fi will be closed by that time. Except for maybe Mcdonalds, so I may be nerding out and going to watch them at a Mcdonalds tonight. ha. Unless I get my internet stuff in the mail this afternoon, then I am heading to Ontario or possibly Boise if it is early enough. I haven't seen my fiance Audra in a while so I am going to go see her and watch my friend Jerame's business for a few days, pretty darn excited to spend some time with Audra.
