workouts and storage units, this week
So this weekend and today have been very frustrating. I have had to keep the storage units closed because they are getting paved and people don't understand that. I don't see why it is such a big deal to not be able to access your crap you keep in a storage unit for 2 days. I had one guy come in today who left his wallet with his drivers license and all his cash(he doesn't have a debit/credit card) in the unit. The gates were open, normally you have to punch in your code to get in, but they were open to let the asphalt trucks in, there were signs everywhere saying that we are closed, not to mention all the trucks people and machinery everywhere, and the fact that we say we are closed for paving, and there is shiny new pavement on the ground, people were still trying to drive around on it and get to their stuff. People are so dumb and selfish sometimes, I had to have the guy with the steam roller practically chasing people out as they were driving on the soft pavement and putting wholes marks and trenches where people are currently working. Nobody stops to think about what they are doing or thinks about how many thousands of dollars this is costing Jerame to make this place as nice as possible. Not everyone was like that, some would see the sign and leave or call the house and understand. But so many people just don't think and don't care.
On the bright side Audra surprised me last night and came over, which was great. But then had to go to boise this morning. I will head to boise on Friday for a pre marriage session with the pastor who is marrying us.
My workout yesterday was really good, another one that was surprisingly rough and left me quite sore. Especially my arms, shoulders, and lats/back.
AM Run
1.5 mile run to gym
Bench 4 x 8 @ 195 still feel like I have been regressing with bench some, but it is okay, I feel like i am looking leaner and am staying almost as strong as I was, so hopefully my muscles are getting dense.
Then for time:
1000 meter row
took about 4 minutes, pretty dang rough, I can really feel it in my butt when I row.
5 sets of
155# Shoulder to Overhead (basically a push press using your legs)
15 pullups (supposed to be kipping I think, but I did regular)
the whole thing took me 13:53, the row was rough, Sh-OH was not too bad, the pullups were terrible, after the last two days workouts and the row right before, the pullups took well over half the total time.
1.5 mile run back to Jerame house.
Todays workout was
AM Double Under work
Then
1.5 mile to gym
Warmup circuit of 3 rounds, 10 reps each, box jump, KB swings, and jumping split lunges.
Back squat 4x8 @ 225
1.5 mile back, in the rain, I forgot how sometimes it is fun to run and just get drenched.
I realized the last few days that I am getting close to overtraining myself, just with how beat and dead I am feeling during the workout and how I feel most of the time. So I decided to back off a little bit and take this week easy since my fit test is a week away. So today was still tough on legs, but not grueling. Tomorrow will be a rest day. Wednesday will be an easy day, just a couple short runs, Thursday and friday will be like a normal workout day, but not as long or as intense, just some good workouts but not really pushing myself all that hard. Saturday and sunday will be days off then the fit test on monday.
Diet was good the last two days, lots of fruit, bacon, eggs, chicken salad, steamed veggies, protein, peanut butter, almonds, the usual stuff.
Also, mostly due to the fact that it is one of those shows that is referred to a lot in internet sites and by nerds quite a bit, I decided to watch Dragon Ball Z today on Hulu, it is pretty dang sweet, even in Japanese so I have to read subtitles. The first episode is ridiculous and I almost stopped after that one, but the next episodes get way better. I can see how it became so popular.
I think that is about it. Gotta get the pavement people rolling tomorrow then I am taking off early back to la grande to get my internet stuff set up. Sayonara suckers.
